Why We Created People’s Ride
People’s Ride Transit Services LLC was created to bring together transportation reliability and a healthcare-centered approach to service.
With 27 years of nursing experience, LaTonia M. Blair Price has seen firsthand that transportation is more than simply getting someone from one location to another. For many individuals, dependable transportation can determine whether they make it to dialysis, attend an important medical appointment, receive follow-up care, complete rehabilitation, or get home safely after a hospital discharge.
That understanding helped shape the vision for People’s Ride.
LaTonia brings decades of healthcare experience and an understanding of patient care, while Sean J. Price brings professional driving experience and has held his CDL since 2008. Together, they recognized an opportunity to create a transportation company that combines professional transportation with compassion, dignity, patience, and an understanding of the people being served.
Their connection to transportation began long before the business. As teenagers, both LaTonia and Sean helped transport family members to doctors’ appointments. Those early experiences, combined with their professional backgrounds, helped establish the foundation for People’s Ride Transit Services.
Today, People’s Ride serves individuals, families, healthcare providers, and facilities with a simple philosophy: the passenger is never just another trip.
Every ride represents a person who has somewhere important to be—whether it is dialysis, a medical appointment, rehabilitation, a specialist visit, or the journey home after a hospital stay.
